Shortly before 10:00 PM on May 8, 2003 the Oakdale V.F.D. (Station 215) was dispatched for a possible structure fire in the 200 block of Cottonwood Drive.  Station 215 requested mutual aid from the North Fayette Twp. V.F.D. (Station 209) and from the Sturgeon V.F.D. (Station 267).  Upon arrival of 215 Engine 1 in the front of the single-family split entry structure there was smoke showing.  215 Engine 1 established a water supply and attack crews found a fire burning in a room in the rear of the house.  215 attack crews knocked the fire down quickly and prevented the fire from spreading. 267 & 209 crews assisted with ventilation, checking for extension and overhaul 209 units operated on scene for just over an hour before being released by 215 command.
