Apartment Fire - Mt. Lebanon Borough (5/13/2003)

Mt. Lebanon Engine 23 and Medical Rescue Team South EMS were dispatched at 8:30am for a fire alarm activation at the General Neville Apartment Complex on Bower Hill Road. Prior to fire units arriving on scene, maintenance workers at the complex began to investigate. They found a fire in a one of the apartments. They began to extinguish the fire and evacuate the resident from the apartment. Engine 23 arrived on scene to find smoke showing from one of the apartments and requested a full first alarm dispatch which included: Mt. Lebanon Station 198, Bower Hill Station 255, Dormont Station 130 and Castle Shannon Station 119. The fire was contained to the apartment of origin and the fire was under control at 8:45am. A second alarm was also utilized which was Bethel Park Station 110 and Upper St. Clair Station 284. Scott Township EMS also assisted.
