Berkeley Hills Station 247 and Laurel Gardens Station 253 were dispatched to Mick's Chrysler-Plymouth on McKnight Road for an automatic fire alarm activation. Ross Police arrived on scene and reported heavy smoke in the service bays. Assignment was upgraded to a full structure - Evergreen Station 246 and Etna Station 149 RIT were alerted to fill the assignment. 247 Engine 1 forced entry and encountered heavy smoke but little fire thanks to the sprinkler system. The fire was contained and units stayed on scene for ventilation. Initial reports believe the cause was electrical in nature but the Ross Township Fire Marshal is investigating.
