Greenfield Fire Department was dispatched to 9967 Williams Road at
13:27 hrs on Wednesday June 23, 2004. Crews from Kuhl Hose, Brookside
Fire, Wattsburg Hose, Fuller Hose Findley Lake, and Emergycare were sent
to assist. On arrival crews found a trailer heavily involved in fire. As
crews were making an initial attack, Chief 241 found that the building was
actually multiple trailers put together to make a larger home.
The initial call came from a neighbor reporting a working fire, and that
no one was home. Crews held the fire to the kitchen and rear of the
trailer. Crews were on scene for several hours for salvage and overhaul.
No injuries were reported. A water supply was set up at Johnston Nursery's
Pond using the dry hydrant. Tankers from Greenfield, Kuhl Hose, Wattsburg
and Fuller Hose company were used. Belle Valley was moved from stand by to
the scene to assist with overhaul.
Crews were on scene for 3 1/2 hours. The fire is under investigation.
