At approximately 8:30am on Friday, May 27, 2005, Blawnox Station 111, Aspinwall Station 102, Sharpsburg Station 265 Truck, Guyasuta Station 219 Truck, Harmar Station 166 RIT, St. Margaret's Paramedic Response and Foxwall EMS were alerted for a reported bedroom on fire in the 300 block of Freeport Road in Blawnox. First on the scene, Blawnox Police Chief 2501 reported a working fire in the second floor apartment above the Blawnox Sprortsmen's Club. Chief 111 confirmed a working fire and requested a second alarm consisting of Fox Chapel Station 157 and Etna Station 149 for a second RIT. Eventually, a third alarm was requested which brought Millvale Station 191 Truck and transferred Mt Troy Station 239 to Station 191 while Berkeley Hills Station 247 Truck was transferred to Station 219.

Damage in the fire is estimated at more than $100,000 and the cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
