Fire units were dispatched to an apartment building with heavy smoke and flames coming from a second story apartment on Vincennes Avenue in Oakdale. 215 Engine 1 established a water supply and its crew made initial entry and were met by heavy fire to the left of the entry door. Primary search turned up no residents inside. 267 Engine established a second water supply and Truck 310 initiated ventilation on the roof. The fire was extinguished and the Allegheny County Fire Marshal's Office was called to investigate.

The following stations  responded: Oakdale Station 215, Sturgeon Station 267, McDonald Station 12 (Washington County), North Fayette Engine 209, Midway Station 13 (Washington County), Northwest EMS, and Oakdale Police. Oakridge Station 269 was placed on standby.
