Vehicle
Crash - Zelienople Borough (3/8/06)
On the morning of Wednesday, March 8th, 2006, Harmony Rescue and EMS were
alerted for a vehicle accident with injuries on Perry Highway by the bridge. Zelienople
arrived on scene to find one male heavily entrapped in vehicle, also advised
Butler Control that it was in Zelienople Borough. At this time Rescue 23
was en route and Zelienople Rescue was also alerted. Harmony Crews used
Maverick tool to pop door. Crews from Zelienople and Harmony then had to
roll the dash using Zelienople's Rams. Roof was then Removed and patient
was extricated to Harmony EMS's care. Extrication time was approx. 20 minutes
and both Company's worked extremely well together and all did a very good job.
Vehicle
was traveling North of Rt 19 when lost control and hit the side of a tanker truck
and spun around facing Southbound. Driver of the tanker
truck was uninjured and no spills took place.
