July 16, 2006 North Vandergrift, Armstrong County - A large 2 story residence
caught fire while the residence were sleeping. No injuries were reported. The
fire was under control in approx. 4 hours from initial dispatch. Crews had hydrant
problems causing lack of water pressure and had to set-up a tanker shuttle. The
building was a total loss. There were 2 rekindles the next afternoon.
