Motor Vehicle Accident
- Upper Burrell (09/14/2006)
September 14th, 2006 - At approximately 4 A.M. Upper Burrell
Station 115 , Lower Burrell Station 54 , New Kensington Rescue 56-4, Lower Burrell
# 3 EMS Station 135 , New Kensington EMS , and Sardis Station 78 were dispatched
to a vehicle accident with entrapment on Rt .780 near Hillview Dr . Crews arrived
finding one female patient severely entrapped in a Chevrolet S-10. The patient
was trapped for over 30 minutes before crews removed her from the wreckage .Both
Stat -MedEvac and Life -Flight were dispatched and both refused to transport
due to heavy fog conditions so a Lower Burrell # 3 Ambulance transported the
patient to a Pittsburgh Hospital
