Abandoned House Fire
- Lower Burrell (10/07/2006)
10.07.06 - Around 11:30 am, Lower Burrell #4 (Braeview) was
dispatched to Edgecliff Road for a vacant house fire. Right after that Lower
Burrell #3 was dispatched to assist #4. The first update was from asst. 69-2
reporting to be in the area with a large column of smoke. Soon after the first
alarm was dispatched, Lower Burrell #1,3,4 Arnold #2 (RIT). There was a fully
involved garage attached to a house. Tanker 118 and Engine 69-3 arrived on scene,
pulled attack lines and proceeded to start to put out the garage fire . Engine
69-1 arrived on scene minutes after and made entry into the house they found
fire conditions in the hallway and back rooms. Truck 54, hit a hydrant and laid
a suplly line to Engine 69-1. Arnold #2 arrived and set up RIT. Later in the
fire Upper Burrell was dispatched to the scene for manpower. Units were on scene
for 4 hours.
Units on scene: Tanker 118, Squad 118, Engine 69-1, Engine 69-3, Rescue 69, Service
69, Truck 54, Utility 54, Engine 95-2, Air 95-2, Engine 115, IRP 115, Tanker
115, Utility 115, and EMS unit medic 137.
