Fire - Blooming Valley, Crawford County (10/14/2006)
Oct 14, 2006 9:30 am. - 2 Alarm structure fire. No injuries
but family dog is missing. Call came in at 9:30, first unit on scene thought
they had a quick knock down on fire and delayed laying a supply line. Within
a few minutes, they had run out of water and the fire took off and ran the attic
pretty quickly. An additional alarm was sounded for water supply, which was nearly
1/2 miles away. Saegertowns ladder truck was brought in and was able to finally
do a knock down. House was completely destroyed. Family was not at home at the
time. Cause unknown at this time. Units on scene for 5 hours.

West Mead #2 VFD, East Mead VFD, Cambridge Springs VFD, Randolph VFD & Townville
VFD.
