Smoke Condition -
Pleasant Hills (10/14/2006)
Oct 14, 2006 - Pleasant Hills fire units and Baldwin EMS responded
to the Krispy Creme Donuts shop on Route 51 for a smoke condition in the building.
Apparently, the heating system was turned on and a fan burnt up, causing the
system to blow smoke into the establishment. A birthday party and customers were
temporarily evacuated, but shortly were allowed back in while the firefighters
from station 232 ensured there was no more danger. Crews checked the heating
system and cleared after verifying everything was ok.
