November 05, 2006 - Concordia Lutheran Ministries Butler County. Butler County 911 Dispatches Sta. 15 and 46 to a possible structure fire. Incoming crew found visible smoke from up to a mile away. 16 companies and over 100 emergency personal were onscene to fight the huge blaze. Problems with wind and water pressure hindered the attack of the fire. The building was a total loss as the wind moved the fire across the roof. Numerous ladder trucks and towers were surrounding the building applying water to the roof to try to contain the fire. The pictures are from Mike Greiser’s cellular phone as he was responding in Freeport Station 70’s medic unit. Initial crews on scene had to make physical rescues from the residents balcony. No injuries to the residents or staff were reported.
