May 16th, 2007 - Washington County, Beallsville, PA - Beallsville Police are investigating a collision that occurred on May 16th 2007 on state route 40. Two vehicles were involved. Unit 1 (not pictured) was traveling west at a very high rate of speed and struck unit 2 traveling east. Elderly occupants in Unit 2 were trapped in the vehicle and injuried. Unit one came to rest approx 1500 feet west of the initial impact and the operator fled on foot. Air bags were deployed in both vehicles. Investigation continuing.
