May 18th, 2007 - Brooke County, Follansbee, WV - On Thursday May 17 around 8pm The City of Follansbee Fire/Rescue Dept, Follansbee City Police, Brooke County Sheriff, and Brooke County EMS were dispatched to Mahan Lane for a motor vehicle accident with roll over and injuries. First arriving units found a single vehicle accident with the car on its roof and the driver self extricated with no other passengers. The vehicle had failed to make a turn went off the road, flipped and hit a tree then landed on its roof.The driver had minor injuries and was tested for possible intoxication. The driver was placed into a Brooke County Sheriff car and transported to their station for possible driving under the influence after he was checked by Brooke County EMS. Follansbee Fire Department stayed on scene untill the vehicle was turned back on its wheels and did traffic control.
