June 16th , 2007 - Vandergrift, Westmoreland County, PA -- Vandergrift fire companies were dispatched to the corners of Franklin and Hamilton Street for multiple working structure fires. Crews first on scene found 3 building fully involved and 2 others beginning to engulf with flames. At first there was believed to be entrapment, but afterwards there was no one trapped. Numerous crews were on scene and numerous others were on standby in the area. No injuries were report to the residents or firefighters. Crews were on scene for over 6 hours dousing hot spots. Crews had the fire under control in 1 and ½ hours.
