September 23rd, 2007 - Millcreek Twp, Erie County, PA -- Around 4pm, West Ridge and Millcreek Paramedics was dispatched to the intersection of Colonial and Daulphin Parkway for vehicle accident. Station 44 Safety 1 was in the area, arrived on location and reported 2 vehicles head on with heavy damage. Reports from the scene also indicated entrapment. Chief 460 arrived on location and established Colonial Ave Command. Engine 17 along with Engine 16 both responded on the box and arrived on location within minutes. Crews from both engine companies assisted MPS with patient care. When entrapment was reported, Tower 10, which was in the middle of a tower demo at Fairview's open house also responded special due. MPS transported multiple patients to an Erie hospital for treatment. Fire Police closed off Colonial Ave during the time. Crews cleared the scene about 45 minutes later.
