October 27th, 2007 - Millcreek Twp, Erie County, PA -- Around 1:40am, Lake Shore, West Lake, Fairview and Lake City was dispatched to Millfair Road at the CSX tracks for a garage fire. Millcreek Township Police arrived on location and reported 1 garage with heavy fire showing and multiple exposures. Engine 55 (Lake Shore) arrived on location, stretched an attack line and immediately began attacking the fire. As additional crews from Engine 9 (West Lake) and Engine 539 (Fairview) arrived on location, a 2nd and 3rd attack line was also pulled off of Engine 55. Engine 563 (Lake City) responded and assumed RIT duties. When RIT was not needed, Engine 563 also assisted in hosing down hot spots, overhaul and checking for extension in the neighboring structures. Crews had the fire under control in about 30 minutes and cleared the scene in 2 hours. Captain 511 (Lake Shore) had Command.
