2/10/2004 - Elrama Structure Fire
Route 837
The call was dispatch at approximately 11:15 am. The first
alarm consisted of Washington County stations 24, 26, and 14. Upon confirmation
of fully involved structure fire, Washington county stations 62 to scene and
46 to stand-by to stand by as well as allegheny county stations 177 for ladder,178,
291 and 232 RIT were activated. A third alarm was then dispatched for Washington
County Station 63's ladder as well as Allegheny station 147. Once the fire was
brought under control, an interior attack was formed to extinguish any remaining
hot spots. Units left the scene at approximately 3pm, almost 4 hours after initial
dispatch. At approximately 4 PM, stations 24 and 26 were activated for a rekindle.
Engine 24-1 arrived on scene and ordered 26 to stand-by in station. The fire
was quickly extinguised and 26 was ordered to cancel.
