09/03/2004 - Central - Motor Vehicle Accident

Simpson Howell Road

Station 147, RQ144, EN143 activated for a MVA w/ entrapment on Simpson Howell Rd just prior to the intersection with Round Hill Rd. Chief 147 arrived to find a passenger car and a box truck head on, with heavy entrapment. The car had 3 critical patients with 2 entrapped. The box trucks patients had minor injuries. The 3 victims in the car were removed and flown to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh due to their ages and 1 patient from the truck was transported to Mckeesport Hospital and the other refused treatment. Units remained on scene several hours to assist County Homicide with accident reconstruction.
