Structure Fire
Monongahela
The call for the structure fire in Monongahela
came in at approximately 11:45 PM on May 10. The fire was called in by a fireman
walking her dog. Monongahela fire department was dispatched to a working structure
fire, and when reports of it being fully involved came in, New Eagle was requested
to respond. Units of Gallatin Sunnyside fire department also were called to the
scene. The fire was difficult to extinguish and spread rapidly because of the
construction of the house. There are many hidden spaces in the house, and there
was a roof build on top of a roof. Units were on scene for about six hours.
