06/16/2005 - Brownsville - Motor Vehicle Accident

Brownsville Fire Company #1 and South Brownsville VFD we activated for a one vehicle mva with possible entrapment at 2100 on June 16, 2005 on High Street in Brownsville. 5 Rescue and 6 Engine 2 we on the road within minutes upon arriving on scene we found one truck into a pole with one female patient that was unresponsive. The patient was revived but due to the severity of her injuries STAT Medivac was called in. Station 21 Hiller was activated to assist with setting up a landing zone at the Little League ball field on Water Street. Members from both Station 5 and 6 helped Brownsville EMS remove the patient from the truck and load her into their waiting ambulance where she was then transported to the helicopter to be airlifted to UPMC Presby.
