09/15/2005 - Braddock - Dumpster Fire

At approximately 8:10 PM on 09.15.05 Alarm Telecommunications Centre in Wheatland PA received an interior zone 42 motion sensor inside the shop area of Gray Welding & Fabrication Services off of Talbot Ave. (old Motor Coils Company) in Braddock Pa. The alarm center notified myself,  my customer, and Braddock police who upon arriving at the plant found a dumpster under a rolling dock door fully ablaze outside of the door. Braddock Station #2 quickly arrived and put out the fire and stayed and helped the plants owners evacuate the smoke which entered the plant through the door area.

The fire destroyed the rubber bumper padding around the door and scorched the small dumpster. Apparently there have been several dumpster fires in the area in the last couple of months which officials believe are being deliberately set on fire by youths in the area.
