10/22/2005 - Turtle Creek - Residential Structure Fire

Stewart Street

Turtle Creek and North Versailles firefighters had one challenging fire when a long abandoned house suspicoiusly caught fire Saturday night during a rain storm. The house which sits on Stewart Street behind a house on Larimar Ave was completely concealed with trees and weeds and very difficult to fight. North Versailles extended a ladder truck over top of a neighbor's house to get at the house on fire behind it. Firefighters did an excellent job stopping the fire before it spread to other homes.
