02/28/2006 - O'Hara - Residential Structure Fire

Parkview Blvd

On Tuesday, February 28th at approximately 3:30am, local police spotted smoke and what appeared to be a fire above Sharpsburg in O'Hara Township. Sharpsburg police went to investigate and found a 1 story residential structure fire on Parkview Blvd. in O'Hara Township.

Parkview Station 218, Pleasant Valley Station 217, Sharps Hill Station 263 and Sharpsburg Station 265 were dispatched. Early reports stated there may be possible entrapment. Parkview Station 218 engine crew initiated an attack before water problems developed. Once the water problems were solved, an exterior attack was established.

218 C-1 requested that Aspinwall Station 102 be called for RIT. Upon request of Station 102 RIT, Etna Station 149 was also dispatched to assist with RIT operations. Guyastua Station 219, Shaler Villa Station 262 and an engine crew from Etna Station 149 were also dispatched to standby at their station to cover the area.
