03/02/2006 - Port Vue - Train vs. Car Accident

Yough River Road and 15th Street Bridge

(KDKA) PORT VUE A suspected drunk driver is in custody after a train smashed into his abandoned car.

It happened around 1 a.m. in Port Vue near 15th Street Bridge.

Police say a CSX train was headed down the tracks. He says the conductor say the car was abandoned but was unable to stop in time.

The train pushed the car about 300 yards.

Police say the driver of the car had been drinking and hit several other vehicles before leaving his car on the tracks.
