03/05/2006 - Scott - Residential Structure Fire

Locust Street

(KDKA) SCOTT TOWNSHIP A two-alarm fire in Scott Township is now under investigation.

It broke out around 3 p.m. on Locust Street.

An Allegheny County arson investigation team is at the scene of the fire, trying to determine its source.

This fire was difficult for crews to fight.

Firefighters were ducking propane tanks, one of which rocketed into a neighbor’s home. Additionally the ceiling collapsed in the kitchen.

The house was completely destroyed.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
