03/09/2006 - Munhall - Vehicle vs Pole

Vondera Street

Munhall Stations 202 and 203 handled a vehicle into a utility pole on Thursday evening, March 9th. According to reports, the vehicle was driving south on Vondera street, passed another vehicle and failed to make the bend at Charles Street. The vehicle went out of control into the pole. Further investigation at the scene showed there were no skid marks. Four juvenile occupants were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. All four self-extricated and at least two of them were transported to a local hospital for injuries.

The fire department blocked the roadway and had to wait for Duquesne Light Company to cut the electricity in the area before the vehicle was able to be moved.
