04/09/2006 - Liberty Borough - Vehicle Fire

Washington Blvd

Crews from Liberty-183 and Lincoln-184 extinguished a fully involved F150 Ford pickup truck in the 2800 block of Washington Blvd. The fire was extinguished by Liberty's engine crew and the Allegheny County Fire Marshal was called to the scene. 183-C2 had command, units on scene included 183-E2, 184-Tanker, 183-Rescue, Elizabeth Twp EMS, Liberty PD, Lincoln PD, and Glassport PD.

Allegheny County 911 received a call that there were 2 vehicles on fire in that block, but that proved to be false. Police were also looking for suspicious persons in the area. This was the second suspicious vehicle fire in this block of Washington Blvd in the past couple of months. The incident is under investigation.
