05/19/2006 - Lincoln Boro - Truck Into Creek w/Entrapment

Units were dispatched for a 1 vehicle crash with entrapment in front of Elizabeth AutoCare on Lovedale Rd. 144 Chief arrived and found 1 pickup truck over a 12' retaining wall in a creek on it's roof with 1 male heavilly entrapped. Rescue crews threw 3 ladders to gain access to the scene and utilized the "Jaws" to remove the doors and the large Hurst Rams to lift the crushed roof away from the patient whose arm was pinned. The patient was approximately 75% emersed in creek water during this lengthy extrication. A haul system was set up to remove patient to the roadway and EMS transported to the Landing Zone.
