09/16/2006 - Monroeville - Motor Vehicle Accident

Broadway Avenue

The driver of a small red sports car going at an excessive rate of speed lost control of the vehicle on a bend on Broadway Avenue, near the Pitcairn line and Wall bridge. The car rolled several times taking out a full sized billboard and telephone pole before coming to rest. Firefighters from Monroeville carefully extricated the driver and passenger from the car which was nearly flattened who are hospitalized in serious condition. Broadway was closed for several hours as the pole was repaired and investigation conducted.
