Here are your fire rescue headlines for western PA for Thursday, July 9th, 2009. Sorry for the lack of updates the last couple of days, we’ll do our best to get you all caught up.
- McKees Rocks had an apartment fire yesterday that displaced at least 2 families. [Tribune-Review]
- A tanker truck driver went into cardiac arrest in Highland Park, causing a 7 vehicle accident. [Tribune-Review]
- There was a motorcycle accident that injured one in Rostraver on Rt 906. [Tribune-Review]
- A Washington Twp man died in a motorcycle accident after driving off the road on a bend and hitting a construction sign. [Tribune-Review]
- Nice job by a junior firefighter from Turkeytown, Ian Swank, who put out a covered bridge fire with an extinguisher before other crews got there. [Tribune-Review]

- Saltlick VFD honored 4 of their original members. [Daily Courier]
- Finally, A railroad car leaked ammonia in Brownsville, causing some roads to be closed. [WPXI]
