Unity VFD Responds to Attic Fire

On February 23rd, 2010, Unity Volunteer Fire Department responded to Hulton Road for an attic fire.  Here is the report from their site:

Stations 233,235,234 and Penn Hills Truck 227 were dispatched to a possible structure fire on Hulton Rd., electrical fire in the attic. Chief 233 on scene with command, 1 story residence nothing showing. Resident reporting smoke and smoldering fire in attic space. Engine 233-2 on scene, crew to interior to investigate. Engine 235-1 on scene to hydrant at Morath Ln, hooked up supply to Engine 233-2. Truck 233 to side A, crew laddered structure. Interior crew reporting smoke and a small fire with wiring and wood joists running along attic space. Used 1.3/4″ preconnect to extinguish. Attack 234 on scene, crew assigned as RIT. Truck 227 on scene, assisted with ventilation, salvage and overhaul. Fire out all units returned.
